This section of our forum allows private teachers to connect with students and promote private lessons.

Please first read the following Legal Disclaimer:

Y&JMusic is merely providing their contact information as a courtesy.  We make no warranties with regard to, have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party instructor or their services. We do not warrant the offerings of any of these entities/individuals or their websites. For teachers interested in making a post in this forum, please follow these steps:

Go to the Private Lesson Forum and select "Start a New Topic."

Please write OPEN at the front of your post if you are currently accepting students. If you are no longer taking students, please update your forum post headline and write CLOSED so students know not to contact you. You can modify this as needed.

Ex: OPEN - Piano Teacher From California Offering Beginner Lessons In Classical and Pop Piano
Ex: OPEN - Conservatory Graduate From Germany Teaching Beginner-Advanced Pianists Jazz and Blues

On your post, please include the following:
  • Location / Time Zone. We recommend adding a link to your online calendar to allow students to see your availability without having to convert time zones (ex. calendly / fantastical / acuity / others)
    • Include the language(s) you speak
  • Background and areas of teaching expertise. Please describe the following:
    • Your background
    • Years of teaching experience
    • Any professional associations
    • What level of students you are comfortable working with
  • Links to Youtube or Social Channels. This is where students can learn more about you and hear you play.

For students seeking a teacher:

Please look through the teacher posts and use the private message feature on the teacher forum profile to contact that teacher about further details.

Working with a private teacher can be helpful to supplement your independent coursework at PWJ!
