I have enjoyed listening to and envy the skills and artistry of the following pianists;

Dave Grusin

Duke Ellington

Henry Mancini

Joe Sample

Bob James

George Gershwin 

Oscar Peterson

Of course, there are others and the ones I have listed are not placed in any particular order.  I know I have missed a lot of talented members of the elite class of musicians, and I have named a few arrangers and composers, not necessarily recognized for their piano playing.  But the piano is the common tool used in the expression of their art.
