Hi Maeva,

I live in the Cologne area in Germany. We (meaning my wife, our little daughter snd myself) spend a few weeks in Zermatt every year.
It would certainly be fun to meet you either in Switzerland or in Germany.

I love Jonny‘s lessons, and I hope I can find more time to practice next year.

Have a great day!

Oh, that would be great! Do you go skiing in Zermatt, or do you go during the Summer ? Please tell me next time you go ! (maeva.liebling@gmail.com).
Both our daughters (13 and 11) started learning German at school - we wanted to go a few days to Germany next Summer so they can practice a little bit...

Yes, Jonny's lessons are really great ! I've been a member for two years and learned a lot ! (And feel there is still a lot a can learn!)

Hi Andrea,

Very close ! I'm in St-Sulpice, between Morges and Lausanne. I used to work in Geneva  (tour RTS ) until two months ago (still working for RTS, but now in Lausanne). Are you from Geneva ?

I lived in Würzburg for 3 years from 1991 to 1994 when I was in the Army.  Leighton Kasserne and also in Veitshöchheim.  Best 3 years of my life!

Anybody from Switzerland / Western Europe ?
If you live around Switzerland or intend to visit it, please leave a comment !

We travel to Galtur (Austria) every 2-3 years for skiing, and usually ski from Ischgl to Samnaun as part of the trip.  I LOVE Switzerland (and Austria, and Germany) and wish I could afford to move there.

Hi there! I am currently in Verbier where my husband and I stay during the skiing season.  Otherwise we are in Normandy France.  I joined l3ss than a week ago. What about you?

Hello ! Thanks for your answer ! I'm a rather long time member - joined almost 4 years ago, mainly to learn (modern) jazz and improv. And I spend many of my winter days off skiing in Villars 🙂

Hi Maeve,

4 years is a long time!! What was your level when you started and what are the most noticeable progress  you have made over these 4 years.? Do you participate in the monthly challenge? Would love to see how you play and get inspirations from you!!

I took lessons as a kid / teenager and then played on and off for 20+ years.

I knew next to nothing in improv and arranging when I joined. Now I can take a lead sheet,  make a (simple) arrangement out of it and I know different kind of scales that will give different colors to improv. The part of "on the spot" improv (compared to "prepared solo") is getting a little bit bigger and I have more tools for arranging.
I still feel I have a lot more to learn, though !
I often participate in the improv/composition monthly challenges and student collaborations, and I'm also a big fan of the quick tips.
Looking forward to your posts 🙂
