John
I’m interested in the music of Leroy Shield which was used in the Laurel and Hardy films made at the Hal Roach studios in the 1920s and 1930s. Does anyone know of intermediate piano arrangements of this stuff, preferably in a volume one can get from a library? Particularly interested in the following pieces: “Dash and Dot,” “0n to the Show,” “Look at Him Now,” “Gangway Charlie.” The original music was re-created by the Beau Hunks Orchestra and is available on You Tube. Check it out. Good stuff
John
On a related note, Marvin Hatley (not Leroy Shield) wrote the theme for Laurel and Hardy called “Ku Ku.” Here he demonstrates how it was written.
