Linda T
How to play like this??? 🙂
Brendan D
A number of @Jonny May's courses teach some of what the pianist is "playing": He's mostly using varying arpeggios of varying speed (e.g., 1/8th notes, 1/16th notes) in the LH and straight melody in the RH with some mild harmonization and fills (e.g., runs, a few mild turns). I would use his "arrangement" as an inspiration to try your own. But -- and I did not watch the entire video -- he is not playing what you're hearing. At least many times in the beginning: Watch the hammers and his fingers. When hammers move and fingers do not it's not the fingers playing what you hear. (for example, watch closely around the 30 second mark). 🙂 He may have prerecorded this playing hands separate or something else. Later in the video, it does appear that his hands and notes begin to line up more. Just sayin'....
Linda T
Thanks for the encouragement! II noticed that there were some parts where his hands didn't match the sound as well... sounds like he pre recorded some more arpeggios... Will keep trying 🙂
